Metal Building Design Favored Over Conventional for Aaron Rents

BARTLETT, Tenn., Jan. 2, 2008 – Aaron Rents, Inc. prefers preengineered metal building systems for all freestanding retail store construction. The wall construction varies from metal wall panels to split-face block, brick or even exterior insulated finishing systems (EIFS).

Pre-engineered steel building design was incorporated with a conventional exterior to create this attractive 8000-sq.-ft. retail store in Hixson, Tenn.
The national furnishings rental company completed this 8,000-sq.-ft. store that opened in early 2007 in Hixon, near Chattanooga, Tennessee. Favorable cost and speed of construction—normally 90 days—were the deciding factors for a metal building materials solution.

Following a recommendation from another retailer that develops stores of similar size and usage, Liberty Building Systems, Bartlett, Tenn., a Memphis suburb, was selected to supply the project’s structural framing and LibertyRib roof and wall systems in a Polar White finish and integrated with EIFS across the storefront. D.D. Construction was the successful bidder on the project following a design by Farrington Design Group, both located in Atlanta, Georgia.
