New General Manager Named for Liberty Building Systems

Matt Threadgill has been named the new general manager of Liberty Buildings Systems.
BARTLETT, Tenn. -- Matthew J. Threadgill has been named general manager of Liberty Building Systems, Bartlett, Tenn.  His promotion is the planned succession for the approaching retirement of Thomas Chaney who has led the metal building company since it originated in 2001. They will work together for the next several months to ensure an efficient transition.

Threadgill has worked in the industry since 1991, most recently as a successful regional sales manager and area manager for the Southwest region of Butler Manufacturing Company. He first joined Butler in the engineering department at the company's Southeast regional offices in Laurinburg, NC, immediately after earning his Civil Engineering Degree ('91) from North Carolina State University. He also holds an MBA from the University of North Texas. In addition, Threadgill worked several years for a Butler BuilderŪ and for a data management and software solutions company, both in Texas.

Liberty Building Systems, Inc., operates as a business unit within Butler Buildings North America, a subsidiary of BlueScope Steel. Liberty sells metal buildings nationwide on the open market versus through an affiliated network of builders. The company's headquarters and engineering offices are in Bartlett, a Memphis suburb, and has manufacturing plant operations in Selmer, both in Tennessee.
