BARTLETT, Tennessee, May 18, 2006 -- Liberty Building Systems has announced an improved warranty for the company's FreedomCote color finishes on pre-painted Galvanized and Galvalume® wall and roof panels. The limited warranty also includes FreedomCote applied to manufactured trims and flashings, announced Tom Chaney, general manager of Liberty.
The warranty, exclusive of atmospheric exposure to corrosive chemical fumes or salt spray, extends 40 years on the film integrity, including assurance against peeling, flaking or other failed adhesion. The warranty extends 30 years for wall panels not to exceed a chalk rating greater than #8 and roof panels not to exhibit more than a #6 rating. Colors are warranted not to fade more than 5 (Delta E) on horizontal wall panels and more than 7 (Delta E) for color-coated roof panels. Liberty currently offers 11 color options that are covered by the enhanced warranty.
