Memphis, Tenn., May 26, 2009 – When Impact Sign and Lighting opened for business in Sedalia, Mo., they needed a building to serve as a dual-purpose office and shop. This called for a solution tall enough to provide clearance for the larger signs and materials the company works with, as well as create sufficient space for a two-story office. Additionally, Impact needed a building that was energy efficient, despite the differing office and shop environments. Memphis-based Liberty Building Systems^™ was contracted to provide a metal building solution.

Liberty supplied a 7,200-square-foot building solution with clearspan framing, 26-gauge LibertyRib^® wall panels in light stone with rustic red trim and a LibertyRib roof. The contractor added foil-backed insulation, two overhead garage doors and an 8-foot interior liner panel in the shop area.

Recently, Impact decided to expand their operations, and Liberty is assisting them in this time of growth. The entire expansion will serve as shop space for Impact to enlarge the fabrication and vehicle signage division of the business. The addition will include a two-story mezzanine for storage with a printing area below. Current shop space will be absorbed and renovated into additional office space and a showroom floor, bringing the total area of the building to approximately 17,000 square feet once the expansion is complete.

Septagon Construction in Sedalia, Mo., handled the design and erection for Impact’s original metal structure and is currently erecting the nearly 10,000-square-foot addition.
