Memphis, Tenn., May 26, 2009 – Retail owner Larry Patterson knows what he’s talking about when it comes to shopping centers. When building retail strip outlets on the fringes of Wal-Mart stores from Texas to Pennsylvania, Patterson says he’s never built anything but metal for his retail centers.
“The metal buildings we’ve built for our retail locations have withstood hurricanes and anything else Mother Nature throws at them,” Patterson said. “And they are simply more economical than the standard construction so we choose metal buildings every time.”
Memphis-based Liberty Building Systems™ was contracted to provide a metal building solution for Patterson’s retail location in Humboldt, Tenn. Liberty provided the post and beam framing, purlins, gutters, downspouts and mechanical roof curbs for the 15,825-square-foot metal building. To create an aesthetically pleasing look, the contractor chose the popular stucco product EIFS (Exterior Insulation Finish System) for the exterior of the building. The building features eight subdivided retail spaces.
Lashlee-Rich, Inc. in Humboldt, Tenn. served as the general contractor for the job, and Peters Architecture in North Carolina designed plans for the metal building.
