| Metal building systems offer an economical materials solution versus conventional for free-standing buildings, such as this 11,700-sq.-ft. Family Dollar store in Knoxville, Tenn. |
The project was a build-to-suit, lease arrangement with White-Reach Development, LLC, based in Lexington, Ken. The developer’s construction unit, White -Reach Construction Management, led the project with architectural services provided by B&P Design, also based in Lexington. White-Reach has developed stores for Family Dollar on repeated occasions in the South. Project Manager Eric Brewer finds the retailer’s thorough delivery process and preference for metal building construction ideally suited for producing “structurally-sound construction within limited budgets.” The Knoxville store was completed in 120 days in 2007.
Liberty Building Systems, Bartlett, Tennessee, supplied the preengineered single-slope structural system and LibertyRib™ roof and wall panel systems in the Polar White finish. Split-face block was used across the storefront.
